Even though Llanystumdwy is a small village it doesn't lack amenities. The village has a Pub, Football Team, Writers' Centre, Riverside Cafe, Campsites, Paintball Arena, Riverside and Coastal paths, Coarse Lake Fishing, Sea Fishing, a wide choice of accommodation, Trout and Salmon Fishing and a Rabbit Farm open to visitors.

There are activities all year round, for example every August the local football team organise a banger racing competition which draws drivers and an audience from near and far. A great day for the whole family.

The village pub puts on live music on numerous occasions as well as holding quizzes and food themed evenings (curry night, Mexican night etc) throughout the year.

The village is also a great place to use as a base to explore the rest of Eifionydd, the Llyn Peninsula to the west or rugged Snowdonia to the north-east.
